Suburban Handicap winner Offlee Wild will retire to Darley at the end of this season.
Offlee Wild, winner of the Suburban Handicap (gr. I), has been purchased by Darley and will stand at Jonabell Farm in Lexington, Ky. in 2006, at the end of his racing career. The 5-year-old son of Wild Again is pointing toward the Whitney (gr. I) before going for the Breeders' Cup Classic – Powered by Dodge (gr. I) for current owner AZ Azalea Stables.

In addition to the Suburban, Offlee Wild has won the grade II Massachusetts Handicap, grade III Holy Bull Stakes, and Excelsior Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. III).

The winner of four of his last six starts, Offlee Wild has been on the board in 13 of his 16 starts with career earnings so far in excess of $950,000. Bred by Dorothy A Matz, Offlee Wild was purchased for $325,000 as a yearling. He is out of a winning Seattle Slew half-sister to Dynaformer.

Jimmy Bell, president of Darley USA said, "To have the services of a stallion prospect who broke his maiden at two, won graded races at (ages) three, four, and five, and having a perennial leading sire in the second dam opens up limitless possibilities for breeders. Offlee Wild 's triumph in the recently run Suburban only highlights his class and versatility. Having Dynaformer in the second dam gives us all tremendous confidence concerning his potential siring ability."

Offlee Wild's stud fee will be set at the conclusion of his racing career.
