Roar of the Tiger, a full brother to Giant's Causeway, has been retired and will stand in 2005 at Hartley/De Renzo Walmac South near Ocala, Fla. His fee will be $6,000.By Storm Cat out of the Rahy mare Mariah's Storm, Roar of the Tiger is a 5-year-old whose last start was a third-place finish in the Aug. 28 Governor's Handicap at Ellis Park. He won four of 11 starts and earned $97,184.Roar of the Tiger was bred in Kentucky by Michael Tabor and Spectrum Bloodstock. He began his career in Ireland where he won one of four starts. After arriving in the U.S., late in his 3-year-old year, he was trained by Lynn Whiting and raced for Dwight Sutherland.In his first start in the U.S., he finished third in an allowance race to Mineshaft, who would go on to greater glory the following year as Horse of the Year.Giant's Causeway's first crop is racing this year. He has already been represented by 11 winners and three stakes winners.
