I) Handicaps, plus four grade II events. His runner-up efforts also included the Belmont Stakes (gr. I) and Emirates Airlines Dubai World Cup (UAE-I).
Bred by Albert and Joyce Bell, Medaglia d'Oro initially raced for Joyce Bell before Edmund Gann bought him and transferred him to trainer Bobby Frankel. Medaglia d'Oro, who was produced from the Bailjumper mare Cappucino Bay, earned $5,754,720.
