Five Face-off in Friday's Flash at Belmont

Five 2-year-old colts, each going for their second win, will take to the track under 115 pounds for the 104th Flash Stakes (gr. III) at Belmont Park Friday June 4. Departing Now, a son of Wheaton, sports the lengthiest win margin of the group--6 3/4 lengths. The colt scored by that margin at Keeneland April 22 over a sloppy track in what has been his sole start.

Primal Storm and Winning Expression also will be making their second start. Primal Storm, by Storm Boot, was a six-length winner at Churchill Downs April 29, and Winning Expression (by Western Expression  ) scored by five lengths at Belmont May 6. The other two, Gold Joy (by Joyeux Danseur) and Dubleo (by Southern Halo) will be going for their second straight win after opening losses. Gold Joy's win came at Aqueduct April 22, and Dubleo's at Belmont May 21. Post time is scheduled for 5:10.
