California Chrome's Stud Fee Holds Steady for 2018

Two-time Horse of the Year will stand for $40,000.

Two-time Horse of the Year California Chrome 's stud fee for his second season will remain at $40,000, according to an Oct. 23 announcement of 2018 stud fees by Taylor Made Stallions.

The dual classic-winning son of Lucky Pulpit will be joined on the Taylor Made roster by Mshawish  and Not This Time . Mshawish, the multiple grade 1-winning millionaire son of Medaglia d'Oro , will stand for $15,000, and Not This Time, the graded stakes-winning son of Giant's Causeway  and 2016 Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) runner-up, will also stand his second season for $15,000.

Taylor Made Stallions adds grade 1 winner Midnight Storm  to the line up for next year. The seven-time graded stakes-winning millionaire by emerging sire of sires Pioneerof the Nile  is being pointed toward a start in next month's $1 million Las Vegas Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) at Del Mar before retiring to stud at the end of the year. Midnight Storm's biggest win so far in 2017 came in the San Pasqual Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita Park. He's also been runner-up in the Santa Anita Handicap Presented by San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino (G1) and, most recently, the Awesome Again Stakes (G1) at Santa Anita. His fee will be $12,500.

Taylor Made Stallions is offering significant discounts for the booking of multiple mares.
