Purchased for $35,000 at the 2016 Keeneland September yearling sale out of the Woods Edge Farm consignment, Funnel Cake now has earnings of $14,880.
He was originally obtained by Woods Edge for $18,000 at the 2016 Keeneland January horse of all ages sale when consigned by Vinery Sales.
Kettle Corn started his career racing mainly in Chicago for trainer George Leonard, before he relocated to California to join John Sadler's barn. He became a multiple graded stakes winner, with his best victory earned in the 2013 San Diego Handicap (G2) at Del Mar.
Kettle Corn stands for $2,500 at Fair Winds Farm in Ohio.
