Freedom Racing's Disco Chick headed the speedy Bustin Out near the quarter pole before drawing clear to a 2 1/4-length score in the $60,000 Regret Stakes July 16 before a crowd of 11,427 at Monmouth Park.

Trained by Miguel Penaloza, Disco Chick completed the six furlongs over a fast main track in 1:09.69 and returned $14.80, $7.20, and $3.  Court Dancer rallied to complete the $45.80 exacta, paying $3.40 and $2.20.  It was another 1 1/4 lengths back to Bustin Out, who paid $2.20 to show in the field of five mares.

"I knew the outside horse (Bustin Out) had a lot of speed so I just wanted to break well and get my horse settled in a good position," said winning jockey Hector Caballero. "We were able to be on the outside and she put away the speed horse and had plenty left in the stretch."

The win was Disco Chick's first since capturing the Foxy J G Stakes at Parx Racing in June 2016.
