NBC, NBCSN Set for Preakness Stakes Weekend

Horse racing fans can access content from the Preakness at NBCSports.com/Preakness. 

Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) winner Always Dreaming leads the field as NBC Sports Group presents the 142nd running of the Preakness Stakes (G1), middle jewel of the Triple Crown, at 5 p.m. EDT May 20 on NBC. 

Coverage from Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore begins at 3 p.m., May 19 on NBCSN with the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (G2), and continues at 2:30 p.m., Saturday on NBCSN.

NBC Sports Group's coverage of the Preakness Stakes features hosts Bob Costas and Mike Tirico; analysts Randy Moss and Jerry Bailey, analysts/handicappers Bob Neumeier and Eddie Olczyk; reporters Donna Brothers, Carolyn Manno, Laffit Pincay III, and Kenny Rice; and race caller Larry Collmus. Krista Voda will host Saturday's coverage on NBCSN. 

Saturday's coverage will include a feature on Always Dreaming's trainer Todd Pletcher and jockey John Velazquez. In addition, Bailey and Moss will tour the stables to speak with connections of some of the Preakness contenders. 

The coordinating producer of NBC's horse racing coverage is Rob Hyland, who has been a part of the network's horse racing coverage since 2001. The Preakness Stakes is directed by Sunday Night Football and NBC Sports' horse racing director, Drew Esocoff. The coverage on NBCSN is produced by Billy Matthews and directed by Kaare Numme. The executive producer of NBC Sports and NBCSN is Sam Flood, who has produced 14 Triple Crown races for the network.

The NBC Sports app—NBC Sports Group's live streaming product for mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs—will offer a mosaic of four different camera angles, including the NBC broadcast, an isolation camera on Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming, an overhead camera, and Larry Collmus' Preakness Stakes race call live as streamed by a camera in his booth at Pimlico. The feature debuted in NBC Sports Live Extra's Kentucky Derby live stream this year.

NBC and NBCSN coverage will be streamed on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app via "TV Everywhere," giving consumers additional value to for their subscription service, and making high-quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.
