HRRN Plans Claiming Crown Coverage

HRRN plans coverage of event in English and Spanish.

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, and official radio home of the 2016 Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup World Championships, returns to Gulfstream Park this Saturday to provide exclusive coverage of the $1.1 million Claiming Crown.

HRRN's coverage, presented by leading sire Kitten's Joy standing at Ramsey Farm, begins at 3:30 p.m. ET and is available in both English and Spanish on the network's websites, and respectively.

The 18th running of the Claiming Crown begins an historic Championship meet at Gulfstream Park, highlighted by the $12 million Pegasus World Cup on January 28 and the $1 million Florida Derby on April 1.  Both races will be broadcast live on HRRN and HRRN en Español as part of HRRN's "Saturdays at Gulfstream" broadcast series. 

Mike Penna and analyst Jude Feld will anchor HRRN's English coverage with Roberto "El Potro" Rodriguez and Eloy Vielma handling the Spanish broadcast duties.

In addition to the race coverage, HRRN will host their popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum, live from Gulfstream starting at 8:00 a.m. ET Saturday morning. The Equine Forum can be heard throughout North American on SiriusXM 93, terrestrial affiliates in Lexington, KY, Louisville, KY, and across the country and is streamed worldwide on the HRRN website.

Rodriguez and Vielma will also be on-site Saturday morning to host the network's weekly Spanish racing talk show, Hablando de Hipismo, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. ET on
