Kitten's Joy's Fee to Remain at $100,000

Son of El Prado fifth on general sire list.

Ramsey Farm announced Nov. 9 that its flagship stallion Kitten's Joy 's fee will remain unchanged at $100,000 for the 2017 breeding season.

The leading turf sire in America for four years running, Kitten's Joy is the sire of three grade I winners in 2016, including Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. IT) victor Oscar Performance, who marked the fourth time that a son or daughter of Kitten's Joy captured a Breeders' Cup race.

Currently fifth on the general sire list, Kitten's Joy is also represented by multiple graded/group winners in the U.S., France, and England in 2016, including Sheikh Mohammed's Coral-Eclipse Stakes (Eng-I) winner Hawkbill and Sheikh Hamdan's multiple French group winner Taareef.

In 2016, yearlings by Kitten's Joy sold for as much as $500,000. The 15-year-old son of El Prado led the North American general sire list in 2013, with his fee increasing to $100,000 in 2014.
