Delta Downs to Offer Low Rake on Pick 4 Wager

Track plans 12% takeout on its Pick 4 wager.

Delta Downs will offer an incredibly low takeout rate of just 12% on its Pick 4 wagers during the upcoming 2016-17 Thoroughbred season which gets underway on October 19. The track will feature an early Pick 4 beginning with the first race every night and a late Pick 4 on the final quartet of races. The Pick 4 is a .50-cent minimum wager.

Delta Downs' sister racetrack, Evangeline Downs, began offering the 12% Pick 4 takeout rate during its recently completed season and fans responded well to it. Delta Downs winter meet is very popular with simulcast fans across the country and the reduction of takeout from 25% to 12% on its Pick 4 wager is expected to increase pool size while also putting more money in the players' pockets.

The new season at Delta Downs will featuring live racing every Wednesday through Saturday night with first post time each evening set for 5:40 pm Central Time. The biggest day of the meet will take place on Saturday, November 19, when the track hosts the 14th running of the $1,000,000 Delta Downs Jackpot (Gr. 3). Jackpot Day will feature a guaranteed all stakes $200,000 Pick 4 wagering pool that will also feature the ultra-low takeout rate.
