Arlington International Racecourse has announced changes to the weekend racing landscape in Chicago effective Saturday, July 16.
Arlington's racing schedule has featured eight-race programs throughout the course of the season, and beginning July 16 will shift one race from Sunday's program to Saturday's card. Saturday racing programs will now feature nine live races and a simulcast race from Saratoga at 1:30 p.m. prior to Arlington's first live race to strengthen the lineup on what is traditionally the best racing day of the week. Saturday post time will be 2 p.m.
Arlington's Sunday programs now feature seven races and will be heavily focused on turf racing with multiple all-turf multi-race wagers available.
In addition, Arlington will begin providing a $25,000 guarantee on the Late Pick-4 every Thursday effective July 14. Arlington conducts live racing on Thursdays throughout the remainder of the season with the exception of September 1.Industry News Releases - In support of Thoroughbred industry organizations, BloodHorse is posting news releases relating to the industry.
