Hunt N Quest First Winner for Hunt Crossing

Two-year-old Hunt N Quest wins third race at Laurel Nov. 6.

Hunt N Quest became the first winner for Hunt Crossing  Nov. 6 when the juvenile chestnut gelding charged from eighth-place early to break his maiden going six furlongs at Laurel Park.

Bred in West Virginia by Willowdale Farms, owned by Carisa Figgins, and trained by Ollie Figgins III, Hunt N Quest was ridden by Darius Thorpe. He covered the distance in 1:13.47, winning by a length over Dubious Intent in the $20,000-$25,000 maiden claiming race.

Hunt Crossing, a 6-year-old son of Corinthian Silver Lace, by Silver Deputy, stands at O'Sullivan Fams near Charles Town, W.Va. His 2015 fee was $1,500. Hunt Crossing won two of three starts, winning the Monmouth Park NATC Futurity in 2011.
