I) winner and 2-year-old champion Favorite Trick, won the third race Sunday at Churchill Downs.Tricky Elaine (Grindstone--Evil Elaine, by Medieval Man) stalked the early leader from second place before driving through the stretch to win by a nose. In 1996, Grindstone closed through the Churchill Downs stretch to nip Cavonnier at the wire by the same margin.Grindstone (Unbridled--Buzz My Bell, by Drone) won three of six career races and earned over $1.2-million under the silks of Overbrook Farm. Trained by D. Wayne Lukas, he also won the Louisiana Derby (gr. III) before finishing second in the Arkansas Derby (gr. II). A bone chip in his right knee, discovered while training for the Preakness (gr. I), forced his retirement.
