The couple said the stallion roster may expand near the end of the year as other horses are retired.
Anne and Satish Sanan’s Padua Stables officially announced Wednesday that its stallion division in Summerfield, Florida will open effective with the 2001 breeding season. So far, the Padua stallion roster includes millionaire Yes It’s True, grade II winner Dance Master, and Sasha’s Prospect, a Mr. Prospector--Missy’s Mirage colt who cost $2.3 million as a yearling of 1997. Yes It’s True will stand for a live foal fee of $7,500, while Sasha’s Prospect’s fee will be private. A fee for Dance Master will be determined after he is retired.“We have made significant commitments to building our racing stable and infrastructure for our breeding operations,” the Sanans said in a statement. “Our goal is to become the leading breeding operation in Florida in terms of quality, both horses and service. We are committed to help raise the quality of stallions in Florida and continue to become more competitive with Kentucky.”
