Tobougg Wins Prix de la Salamandre; Bad As I Wanna Be Last

Tobougg rallied from third in the four-horse field of 2-year-olds and swept to the lead with just over a furlong to run to win the Prix de la Salamandre Dinard Grand Hotel Barriere (Fr-I) by two lengths Saturday at Longchamp, France. Prix Morny (Fr-I) winner Bad As I Wanna Be finished last, 6 1/2 lengths behind the winner.

Sheikh Ahmed al Maktoum's Tobougg (Barathea -- Lacovia, by Majestic Light) completed the seven furlongs in 1:22 1/5 while racing over good to soft ground. Honours List finished second, four lengths clear of Wooden Doll. King Charlemagne was scratched.

Craig Williams rode the Mick Channon trainee to the win, the colt's second in as many starts. In his prior start, he won an August maiden race by 1 3/4 lengths at York, England. He was bred in Ireland by Citadel Stud.
