ESPN Classic On The Road To The Derby

Since last summer, ESPN has allowed its younger sister network, ESPN Classic, to tag along as it criss-crosses the United States for the country's biggest sporting events. This May, the network's "Road Show" will join the hubbub at Churchill Downs on May 4, Kentucky Oaks Day.

A typical format for the show includes local talent and stars on hand to take in baseball's spring training, football's college playoffs, or in this case, the Kentucky Derby. Steve Cyphers will host the three-hour show, which will include live shots and interviews from the paddock at Churchill Downs, new SportsCentury features on Affirmed and Alydar, Citation, Seattle Slew, and Secretariat, and a Thoroughbred Classics feature on the Derby.

Also expected are singer-artist Tony Bennett, whose artwork has been chosen for the annual Oaks and Derby posters and tickets.
Additional features and guests will be confirmed at later dates for the show.
