Dettori To Miss Derby; Flores on Express Tour

With the defection of Godolphin Racing's Street Cry from the Kentucky Derby due to an injury, jockey Frankie Dettori has opted to remain in England to ride Tobougg in the Sagitta Two Thousand Guineas at Newmarket the same day. Tobougg is also owned by Street Cry's owner, Sheikh Mohammend.

As a result of Dettori's decision, American jockey David Flores will ride Godolphin's Express Tour in the Derby, according to the Godolphin Website. Flores rode Express Tour to victory in last month's UAE Derby.

Tobougg finished a close third to Rumpold in Godolphin's first trial for colts at Nad al Sheba on April 9. Godolphin reported that Rumpold will also take part in the Sagitta Two Thousand Guineas, but riding plans have not yet been finalised.
