Two Item Limit Faces Four in Black-Eyed Susan

Two Item Limit will be seeking her fourth graded stakes victory on Friday in the $200,000 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (gr. II) at Pimlico Race Course. The 3-year-old filly will face four rivals in the 1 1/8 mile event.

Joseph Graffeo's Two Item Limit crossed the finish line second in the Comely Stakes (gr. III) at Aqueduct in her most recent start on April 13, but was awarded the victory after a disqualification. Trained by Stephen DiMauro, she also has victories in Aqueduct's Demoiselle (gr. II) and Tempted (gr. III) Stakes.

Like Two Item Limit, James Tafel's Scoop is looking for her second consecutive stakes win after winning the National Jockey Club Oaks on April 14 at Sportsman's Park. Trained by Gene Cilio, the daughter of Gone West has won three of seven lifetime starts.

Tap Dance enters the Black-Eyed Susan after finishing fifth in the Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) on May 4. Prior to that effort, she won the Bonnie Miss Stakes (gr. II) at Gulfstream Park on March 16. The Mark Hennig-trained Tap Dance has won three of nine lifetime starts for $218,136 in earnings for owner, Edward P. Evans.

The field, in post-position order: Indy Glory, Jorge Chavez; Scoop, Ray Sibille; Tap Dance, Jerry Bailey; Two Item Limit, Richard Migliore; and Vines of Justice, Jose Caraballo.
