II) at Pimlico.The 3-year-old Twining filly had to steady and alter course in the April 13 Comely Stakes at Aqueduct, still finishing second, beaten just a half length. She was put up via disqualification. In the Black-Eyed Susan, she had clear sailing under Richard Migliore, taking the lead at the quarter pole and beating Indy Glory and Tap Dance in the $200,000 race.Owned by Joseph Graffeo and trained by Steve DiMauro, Two Item Limit ran the nine furlongs in 1:50 4/5 and returned $4.40, $3.20 and $2.10. Indy Glory paid $4.80 and $2.20 and Tap Dance was worth $2.10.Last year at two, Two Item Limit won two stakes late in the year at Aqueduct, the Tempted (gr. III) and Demoiselle (gr. II). Sent to California to begin her 3-year-old campaign, she hooked Golden Ballet twice before returning to New York for the Comely.There was very little movement early in the Black-Eyed Susan, with just a five-horse field. Scoop set the early fractions, followed by Tap Dance, Vines of Justice, Then Two Item Limit and Indy Glory."I got behind Tap Dance and let her carry me as long as I needed her to," Migliore said. "Then, when I pulled out, my filly just breezed. She never batted an eyelash. When she hit the front I tapped her a couple times to keep her mind on her business, but she won with a little left in the tank. I was really impressed with her performance."
