Hallowed Dreams, the darling of Louisiana who has lost only once in 23 career starts, is expected to compete Saturday in the $75,000 Miller Lite Stakes at five furlongs on the turf at Lone Star Park.
Hallowed Dreams, bred in Louisiana, has raced once outside of her home state. She won that race -- the $100,000 Valid Expectations Stakes at Lone Star in May. Her only defeat came at Evangeline Downs in Louisiana.
Co-owned by Johnny Gaspard and trainer Lloyd Romero, Hallowed Dreams worked a bullet half-mile in a sizzling :46 at Evangeline June 16. The filly, ridden regularly by Sylvester Carmouche, is expected to arrive at Lone Star Friday.
At Fair Grounds this year, Hallowed Dreams broke the six-furlong track record held by her sire, Malagra. She has earned more than $600,000.
