Win City Puts Streak on the Line in Queen's Plate

Win City will try to extend his winning streak to four in a row on Sunday when he takes on nine challengers, including the filly Dancethruthedawn, in the $1 million Queen's Plate at Woodbine Racetrack.

Win City, off his latest victory in the Plate Trial, was made the 9-5 morning-line favorite and will start from the No. 7 post in the 1 1/4-mile race, Canada's top race being run for the 142nd time.

Dancethruthedawn, coming off a win in the Woodbine Oaks two weeks ago, is the second choice at 2-1, along with Lucky Scarab. The two will race as an entry - both are owned by Sam-Son Farm.

Dancethruthedawn drew the outside No. 10 post, while Lucky Scarab leaves from the No. 2 hole. Both horses are trained by Mark Frostad, who trained last year's Queen's Plate winner, Scatter The Gold.

A field of 10 Canadian-bred 3-year-olds will go postward for the 142nd running of the $1-milllion (Can) Queen's Plate, with a post time is 5:08 p.m.
