Blood-Horse's 'Auction Edge' Debuts; Live Coverage Expanded

The Blood-Horse, Inc., has introduced a new auction catalog supplement, Auction Edge, beginning with the Keeneland and Fasig-Tipton Kentucky summer yearling sales. In addition, has expanded its live, interactive, hip-by-hip Internet coverage to also include the FTK auction.

In addition to the essential standard information such as previous auction prices of siblings, sires sales averages, and complete produce records of the first dam, the Auction Edgewill include additional key information such as expanded auction sales results, more detailed racing data, and expanded past performance data. Many of these components were not previously available in this type of auction catalog supplement. The information is presented in a new, easy to read style that will help buyers find what they need to know faster and easier.

"The Thoroughbred marketplace is a $1-billion industry, and we strongly believe the people making investments in the business deserve the best, most comprehensive information available." said Jim Cox, research director for The Blood-Horse, Inc. "This product, relying on the vast network of information in The Jockey Club Information Systems database, is designed to give buyers and sellers an edge and help them make the best decisions possible."

The live interactive coverage of the summer sales includes instantaneous posting of sale price and buyer (RNA price if not sold) and recalculates session totals as well as consignor, sire, and buyer averages after each horse is sold.
