Outflanker, Way West to Cloverleaf Farms II

Outflanker and Way West, stallions that stood last season at Sez Who Thoroughbreds near Ocala, Fla., will stand the 2002 season at Cloverleaf Farms II near Reddick, Fla. The duo will join resident stallion Capture the Gold.

Outflanker's first foals are 2-year-olds of 2001 and he is already represented by two winners from nine starters. By Danzig, Outflanker is a half-brother to graded stakes winners Bite the Bullet and Shuailaan. His dam, Lassie's Lady, is a half-sister to Broodmare of the Year Weekend Surprise (dam of A.P. Indy,Summer Squall), Charming Lassie (dam of champion Lemon Drop Kid), and stakes winners Wolfhound and Foxhound. His fee in 2001 was $3,000.

Way West was a stakes winner and group III-placed in his native France and is a son of leading sire Gone West out of the Targowice stakes-winning mare Greenway. With three crops of racing age, Way West is represented by 17 winners and one stakes-placed runner. His Meandmylove set a track record earlier this year at Sportsman's Park, getting six furlongs in 1:09.33. Way West stood for a $3,500 fee in 2001.
