William S. Farish's Lane's End Farm announced its stallion fees for 2002 and has placed premium fees for the services of A.P. Indy and Kingmambo. A.P. Indy, whose millionaire son Aptitude won the Saratoga Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. II) over the weekend, will stand for $300,000, and Kingmambo's fee will be $200,000.A.P. Indy, who ranks third on the general sires list, and Kingmambo, who holds down the No. 47 spot, stood for private fees in 2001, but their services on the open market were among the highest for any stallions. A.P. Indy's open market fee was reported to be $250,000, and Kingmambo's was $175,000.Lane's End also reported 2001 fees of $75,000 for Dixieland Band and Lemon Drop Kid. That's a drop of $25,000 from Lemon Drop Kid's 2001 fee during his first season at stud.
