A group of Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) hopefuls slugged it out in allowance company Wednesday at Belmont and heavily favored Heavyweight Champ scored a TKO.The 2-year-old Two Punch colt eased to a comfortable win under Jerry Bailey, well ahead of The Call of Duty and Seeking the Money. Sent off at 3-5 in the six-horse field, Heavyweight Punch just coasted to the lead down the backside and let the competition sit right off him through the turn, but as the field straightened away, he coasted home well in front. He covered the seven furlongs in 1:23 3/5.Heavyweight Champ, owned by Seven Pin Stables and trained by John Terranova, is now two-for-four, having broken his maiden at first asking, then finished third in the Sanford Stakes (gr. II) and second in the Saratoga Special (gr. II).
