Juveniles Work on West Coast

Breeders' Cup Juvenile hope Came Home worked six furlongs in dense fog at Santa Anita on Thursday, but the time was unpublished due to the low visability. Trainer Paco Gonzalez said Came Home will have one more drill before shipping.

Also working a half-mile was Bob Baffert's Juvenile Fillies contender Habibti, who was timed in :48.40 for Bob Baffert. The workout was the first for the Del Mar Debutante winner since she was scratched from the Oak Leaf Stakes Sept. 30 due to illness.

Trainer Bruce Headley has two five-furlong works scheduled for defending Sprint champion Kona Gold, the first coming the middle of next week, prior to shipping on Oct. 23. With Headley aboard, Kona Gold galloped Thursday.

Trainer Jay Robbins reported he is following the same training schedule he used last year with Classic winner and Horse of the Year Tiznow, who will work only once more, probably seven furlongs nine days prior to the Breeders' Cup.
