Guided Tour enters the Classic on a three-race win streak. In his most recent start, he scored a neck win in the Kentucky Cup Classic (gr. II) at Turfway Park on Sept. 22. Prior to that, he won the Washington Park Handicap (gr. II) at Arlington Park by four lengths, and took the Stephen Foster Handicap (gr. II) at Churchill Downs.In all, Guided Tour has won 12 of 29 starts, with eight seconds and one third, and has earnings of $1,884,253.Buckram Oak, owned by the Fustok brothers, is located near Lexington. One thought is that Guided Tour might run in Saudi Arabia this winter.
A major interest in Guided Tour, who runs in Saturday's $4 million Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), has been purchased by Buckram Oak Farm. The 5-year-old horse has been owned by a group led by majority partner Morton Fink of Chicago. He will be listed in the program on Saturday as owned by Buckram Oak and Fink and run in Fink's colors.Guided Tour (Hansel -- Dancing Mahmoud, by Topsider) will remain in the barn of trainer Niall O'Callaghan, who arrived in New York late Wednesday night from his base at Churchill Downs.The gelding will be ridden on Saturday by his regular pilot, Larry Melancon. He drew the two post at Wednesday's draw and is 15-1 in the morning line.
