A 2002 no-guarantee season to Danzig brought the top price of $260,000 to headline the Stallion Access auction at Fasig-Tipton Kentucky's Newtown Paddocks on Nov. 9. The price was $10,000 above the reported market value 2002 fee of $250,000 for the stallion, who stands at the Hancock family's Claiborne Farm near Paris, Ky. Thirty-eight seasons were sold for a total of $839,000, with an average of $22,079. Last year 32 no-guarantee seasons were sold for a gross of $1,796,400, an average of $56,138.Two stallions shares were sold for $93,000. A share in Gainesway Farm stallion Cozzene was purchased for $85,000 and a share in Lane's End stallion Roar brought $8,000.
