Hollendorfer Pair Ships in for Prevue and Moccasin

Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, who sent out Yougottawin to upset Officer in the California Cup Juvenile at Santa Anita Park, hopes to make more noise in the 2-year-old division this weekend at Hollywood Park.

Hollendorfer plans to ship the colt USS Tinosa and the filly Unforgettable R N south for the $100,000 Prevue (gr. III) and $100,000 Moccasin Stakes Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Both are at seven furlongs.

USS Tinosa, an Ohio-bred son of Foxhound, will be making his first California start. The roan colt finished second in the Manila Stakes at one mile on the turf at Arlington Park Oct. 20 in his first start for Hollendorfer. He previously won two Ohio-bred stakes for trainer Larry Richardson.

Unforgettable R N, a daughter of Supremo, has won two of three starts at Bay Meadows since Hollendorfer took over her training.

A field of eight is shaping up for the Prevue: Roman Dancer (Kent Desormeaux); Heavyweight Champ (Gary Stevens); Labamta Babe (Tyler Baze); Fonz's (Laffit Pincay Jr.); Popular (Victor Expinoza); El Nukl (no rider); Dial A Hero (Felipe Martinez); and USS Tinosa (no rider).

A lineup of at least nine is proable fo the Moccasin: Ponche De Leona (Garrett Gomez); Teresa Ann (Desormeaux); Happy Michelle (Alex Solis); Candor (Chris McCarron); Gold Sugar (Corey Nakatani); Runaway Ab (Baze); Runaway Pro (Pincay); Cinnful Bride (Rick Jaime); and Unforgettable RN (Stevens).
