Madame Jones to be Bred, Continue Racing

English runner Madame Jones, who made 61 starts last year, winning 11 handicaps, will be bred and continue racing in 2002.

She finished one shy of the record of 13 handicap victories by a filly or mare in a British post-World War II racing season. Nagwa set that mark in 1975.

Madame Jones (by Lycius) will be bred to Diktat, but then stay in training, owner John Abbey said.
