Arabian Light to Saudi Arabia

Prince Ahmed Salman, whose colt Point Given was 2001 Horse of the Year, has sent his grade II winner Arabian Light to stand at his Saudi Arabian farm near the capital of Riyadh. Four-year-old Arabian Light (Fly So Free--Heartlight, by Majestic Light) already has covered several mares. He joins fellow U.S.-bred stallion Powerful Punch at the farm.

Arabian Light, who made all five of his starts for the prince's The Thoroughbred Corp., won the 2000 Lane's End Breeders' Futurity (gr. II) at Keeneland and the Graduation Stakes at Del Mar on his way to three career wins and earnings of $431,944. Thirteen-year-old Powerful Punch (Danzig Connection--Silvery Honey, by Silver Series) earned $873,190 in his career and has stood there since being exported in 1996.
