The New York Racing Association will again permit coolers to be brought in to all three of its tracks - Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga - in limited areas.
"We want our fans to be able to enjoy a day at the races," said NYRA President and COO Terry Meyocks. "At the same time, it is imperative that all of our facilities be safe and secure. At no time will we sacrifice safety, but we see this as a reasonable solution."
All coolers will be subject to search by NYRA security and will be permitted in the backyard and apron areas only. No coolers of any kind will be permitted in the buildings, including all seating areas.
