Glitterman Colt Works Fastest Quarter At OBS

A colt by Glitterman zipped a quarter mile in :21 3/5 Sunday to post the fastest work at the distance during the first session of the under tack show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's March sale of select 2-year-olds in training. The bay colt, consigned by Robert Harris, agent, is out of stakes winner Rapid Raja, by Darby Creek Road.

A dark bay or brown colt by Roar out of Velma, by Theatrical, worked a quarter in :21 4/5. Old South Farm, agent is the consignor of the colt, which is a half brother to stakes placed Pettycashyou.

Four juvenile shared honors for the session's fastest eighth mile breeze, stopping the timer in :10 1/5. One was a filly by Meadowlake, consigned by Costanzo Sales, agent. The chestnut filly is out of stakes placed Leaseholder, by Taylor's Falls, and is a half sister to stakes winner and graded-stakes-placed Golly Greeley. Another was Tony Soprano, is a bay colt by Allen's Prospect out of stakes winner See Your Point, by Rock Point. The colt is consigned by Nick de Meric, agent. Also turning in the fast time was a colt from the first crop of Horse of the Year Favorite Trick out of stakes-placed So Brash, by Nasty and Bold. The colt is consigned by Equine Legacy Farm. Rufustheroadrunner, a gray or roan colt by Open Forum out of Stringtown Sally, by Crafty Prospector, was the fourth member of the group He is consigned by Straightaway Farm, agent.

The session's only three-eighth mile breeze was a:35 2/5 effort turned in by a dark bay or brown colt by Capote, out of Lemons to Lemonade, by Conquistador Cielo. Consigned by Southern Chase Farm, Inc. (Greg and Karen Dodd), agent, the colt is a half brother to graded winner Plenty of Sugar.

The under tack show's second session was scheduled for Monday morning, beginning at 9:00 a.m. (EST).

The second under tack show is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, March 16 -17. The sale will be conducted on Tuesday and Wedneday, March 19 and 20.
