TOBA Dinner to WinStar in 2002

The 17th annual Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association awards dinner will be on Sept. 6 at WinStar Farm near Versailles, Ky. The dinner recognizes top breeders in more than 30 states and owners across North America. This year country musician Clint Black will provide the entertainment.

The TOBA dinner, typically held at a Central Kentucky Thoroughbred farm, offers an opportunity to showcase horses and horse enthusiasts, while acknowledging standout individuals in the industry. The National Breeder and National Owner of the year are announced at the event, and in addition to dinner and dancing, a silent auction is again scheduled to be part of the evening.

"The primary purpose of the TOBA Awards Dinner is to recognize the best owners and breeders in the Thoroughbred industry," said Dan Metzger, president of TOBA. "It is a fitting and time-honored TOBA tradition that those who contribute so much to this industry are recognized at a world-class Thoroughbred farm with great entertainment by Clint Black. The 2002 event promises to be another stellar evening."
