For the third straight year, TVG will produce "The Works" from Churchill Downs, focusing on Kentucky Derby and Oaks-bound horses and their daily doings at the Louisville track. Joining the broadcast team this year is trainer Tom Amoss. The returning team of Caton Bredar, analyst Frank Lyons, correspondent Jeff Lifson, and special guest Jill Byrne will round out the group.
"The Works" will begin April 22 and will be aired twice daily on TVG: from 11:30 a.m.-noon (EDT) and again from 8-8:30 p.m. (EDT) from April 22 - May 1. The final show will be a one-hour special on May 2 from 11:00 a.m. (EDT) to Noon (EDT), which will also air again from 8:00 p.m. (EDT) to 9:00 p.m. (EDT).
"We are proud of the fact that, in just three years, The Works has become an integral part of the Derby experience," said Mark Wilson, President and CEO of TVG. "With the support of Keeneland, our sponsor, and Churchill Downs, our host, the show will continue to set the standard and make TVG the destination for pre-race coverage of racing's biggest event. The popularity of The Works is an indication of the public's strong support of the Derby and their desire to learn as much about it each year as possible."
