Millionaire Jostle Retired; Bred to Storm Cat

Grade I winner Jostle was retired following a third-place finish in the April 5 Banshee Breeze Handicap at Gulfstream Park and was bred April 23 to Storm Cat. Owned by Bill Casner and Kenny Troutt's WinStar Farm, 5-year-old Jostle retires with eight wins from 20 starts and earnings of $1,389,932.

"She came out of the race fine, and we were pleased with the way she ran," said WinStar president Doug Cauthen, "We had planned to run her one more time before breeding her, but she was cycling, and we had a season open to Storm Cat."

WinStar purchased Jostle for $1.7 million at the 2001 Keeneland November breeding stock sale. The Banshee Breeze was Jostle's sole start for the farm.

Bred by Art, Jack, and J.R. Preston's Prestonwood Farm, Jostle (Brocco--Moon Drone, by Drone) raced the other 19 times for Richard Porter's Fox Hill Farms. She was runner-up for 2000 Eclipse Award honors as top 3-year-old filly after winning the Coaching Club American Oaks (gr. I), Alabama Stakes (gr. I) and a pair of grade II events.
