Stevens Swaps Agents; Books Future Stakes Mounts

Jockey Gary Stevens has switched agents again. The Hall of Fame rider who will guide Overbrook Farm's Table Limit in Saturday's Kentucky Derby has hired Craig O'Bryan as his agent. O'Bryan replaces Brian Beach.

O'Bryan also handles Jose Valdivia Jr.'s book. Beach will continue to book mounts for Mike Smith.

O'Bryan said Stevens is booked to several live mounts in upcoming stakes races. These include Sunday Break in the Peter Pan Stakes, Irish Prize in the Shoemaker Breeders' Cup Mile, Macho Uno in the Massachusetts Handicap, and Bella Bellucci in the Acorn Stakes.

Irish Prize won last year's renewal of the Shoemaker and he'll likely be joined in the starting gate by the horses that finished second in the last three renewals of the race. 2001 runner-up Touch of the Blues and Ladies Din, who finished second in 1999 and 2000 are also being pointed to the race. Other likely starters are Kilroe Mile winner Decarchy, Thady Quill, The Tin Man, and Orientate.
