Steeplechase Triple Crown Third Leg June 6

McDynamo and Anofferucantrefuse, winners of the first two legs of the Steeplechase Triple Crown, head the nomination list for the $100,000 Meadow Brook Stakes (NSA-I), to be run Thursday, June 6 at Belmont Park.

The Meadow Brook attracted 12 nominations. Entries close Monday, June 3 with the NSA.

Mike Moran's McDynamo won the series opener, the Hard Scuffle Stakes (NSA-I), with a dominant performance May 2 at Churchill Downs. Fifteen days later, Fox Ridge Farm's Anoffucantrefuse was equally impressive in winning the $100,000 Joe Aitcheson (NSA-I) at Pimlico. McDynamo was second that day.

Both horses raced on the flat in New York last year, so should be familiar with Belmont. McDynamo, now trained by Sanna Neilson, finished fourth in a Saratoga allowance in August and sixth in a similar race at Belmont in September. Jockey Pat Day was aboard for both trips. Anofferucantrefuse broke his flat maiden at Aqueduct in 200. Fox Ridge and trainer Pat Kelly sent the homebred son of Red Ransom to Voss last spring after a fifth-place finish in a $35,000 claimer on the Aqueduct turf course.

The complete nomination list: Anofferucantrefuse, Cold Cat, Dixie's Crown, Equistar, Geaux Beau, McDynamo, Najjm, Seek, Sharp Face, Storm Touch, Valay Pass, and Yonder.
