Three Cal-Breds Top Landaluce Field

The first and second-place finishers in the June 2 Cinderella Stakes are both expected to be among the 10 fillies who head to the post for Thursday's Landaluce Stakes (gr. III) at Hollywood Park. Magic Smoke, who won the Cinderalla by 1 1/4 lengths, and second-place Little Bit a Swiss are the 3-1 favorite and 7-2 second favorite, respectively, for Thursday's race.

The Landaluce offers grade III status and a share of the $100,000 to the winner of the six-furlong dirt event. Magic Smoke, Little Bit a Swiss, and third choice Solo Singer were all bred in California. For a 2-year-old, Magic Smoke's two wins, one second, and one third in four starts is as impressive a record as you'll find. Sandy Shulman trains the daughter of Smokester for for Clear Valley Stables, Dorothy Pecora, and Evelyn Scialanga.

The Landaluce is the sixth on Hollywood's holiday card. The field for the six-furlong race for 2-year-old fillies is as follows:
