Lost at Sea rallied from seven lengths back to nip See How She Runs at the wire in Wednesday's $150,000 Iowa Oaks at Prairie Meadows. The photo finish victory by the 3-year-old filly ended See How She Runs' five-race win streak and set a stakes record of 1:42 1/5 for 1 1/16 miles as the 22-to-1 longshot paid $46.00. It was another eight lengths back to Don't Ruffle Me in third, followed by Charmed Gift, Hi Tech Honeycomb, Never Out.Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, Lost at Sea was saddled by Prairie Meadows-based Ray Tracy Jr. Trainer Hollendorfer owns the filly in partnership with breeder John Franks and Peter Abruzzo. The 3-year-old daughter of Lost Solder was bred in Florida.Lost At Sea has four wins, finishing on the board in all but two of ten starts. Previous to the Iowa Oaks, the filly won the San Jose Stakes at Bay Meadows, finished third in the Bay Meadows Oaks and was then fourth in the Flawlessly Stakes at Arlington Park.
