Seven 2-year-old fillies are listed as possible for Sunday's $100,000 Sorority Stakes at Monmouth Park. A good portion of the expected entrants for the six-furlong stakes are based at the New Jersey racetrack.
One of the locals, New Farm's Wild Snitch, has made only one other start. The daughter of Forest Wildcat broke her maiden on Aug. 7 by 2 3/4 lengths over J's Crafty Cat. She is trained by Benjamin Perkins Jr.
Robert S. Evans, who made headlines at Saratoga when he bought back a yearling for $3.8 million, bought his Sorority entrant at the same sale last year. Now named Advancing Storm, the filly has two starts, one win and one second, on her side, as well as her bloodlines. She is out of the graded stakes-winning mare Advancing Star, and is by Storm Cat.
Other fillies possible for the Sorority include Busy Lady, Grand Natalie Rose, Hope for Love, I'll Be the One, and Runaway Chanel,
