Harrington Pair Top Del Mar's Generous Portion

(From track report)
Twelve 2-year-old Cal-bred fillies are set to go Wednesday in Del Mar's $100,000 Generous Portion Stakes at 6 furlongs on the main track.

The field includes an entry of My Honey Bunny and Alpine Singer, trained by Mike Harrington with ownership connections which include Heinz Steinmann.

The Harrington duo stands out in experience and wins. Each has two victories and My Honey Bunny has started six times, twice as often as any of the other starters.

Bearing high weight in the race will be Market Garden, a stakes winner on the California fair circuit. The win came in the Solana Juvenile Fillies. She also finished third in the Mid-Peninsula Stakes at the Bay Meadows Fair. Don Warren is the trainer and she'll carry 120 pounds, including Laffit Pincay, Jr.
