A listed winner on Santa Anita's turf course, Eternity Range had split Ashkalani and Spinning World in the Prix Fountainbleau (Fr-III) at three and also placed in the Gran Criterium (Fr-I) at two.Soon after selling Ellinthorpe, Thompson lost Nine Carat on June 1, the Slew o'Gold stallion's deteriorating health stemming from to a pituritary problem. Nine Carat joined the Ellinthorpe roster in 1995.
