"Since it began airing in early April, 'The Finish Line' has become of one our most popular shows," said Tony Allevato, TVG Vice President and Executive Producer. "We refer to it as destination TV for racing fans, a program they can tune into at a convenient time and place each weekend to catch up with everything important that has gone on in racing that week. We are excited to be increasing the program's airtime during the crucial pre and post-Breeders' Cup period."
To offer in-depth, post-race coverage of the large number of Breeders' Cup prep races on tap this week, TVG's weekly magazine show, "The Finish Line," will expand from one to two hours this Sunday (October 6), and will air in a new time slot, beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET, the network announced.TVG also announced that the show's season-ending program, scheduled for October 27, the day after the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships, will also be two hours long to provide full coverage and analysis of the previous day's championship events, and will air from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET. The October 13 and 20 shows will air from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET.The Finish Line features replays of major stakes races, national racing recaps, industry news, originally produced features and previews of upcoming events. It also includes post-race analysis and reaction, interviews with trainers, jockeys and owners, handicapping analysis for upcoming stakes races, bloodstock news, and sales coverage
