Golden Apples, Dublino Drill at Santa Anita

Yellow Ribbon winner Golden Apples worked four furlongs on the turf Sunday morning at Santa Anita in :50 2/5, according to her trainer, Ben Cecil.

Santa Anita's official work tab clocked her in :37.40, breezing, for three furlongs.

"It was a very nice move," Cecil said. "She couldn't have done it any easier. She did it well in hand."

Elsewhere, Richard Mandella intends to ship Pleasantly Perfect (Classic), The Tin Man (Turf) and Listen Indy (Juvenile) "around the 19th. There's not a lot to do between now and then. They'll have a little work here somewhere, but it won't be much."

Bruce Headley plans to work former Sprint champion Kona Gold five furlongs on Monday, and Ancient Title Breeders' Cup Handicap winner Kalookan Queen four furlongs on Tuesday.

Paco Gonzalez has Classic contender Came Home penciled in for his final local work on Wednesday, probably at six furlongs.

Dublino, prepping for the Filly & Mare Turf, worked five furlongs Sunday morning on the grass in 1:04.40, handily for trainer Laura De Seroux.
