Calder's leading apprentice Luis Chavez is heading for New York and Hall of Fame jockey Jorge Velasquez will be his agent. The 18-year-old native of Chile leaves Calder as the fourth leading rider, having notched 72 victories through 121 days of the meet. He is named on three horses at Belmont Park on Oct. 18...Dan Pride will now work with the Darley Stallions at Jonabell Farm near Lexington. The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will offer its Countdown to the Breeders' Cup on Sunday, October 20 at 4:00 p.m. in the Museum's Hall of Fame Theater. The popular program features video highlights from important prep races and audience discussion with a panel of experts. Admission is free. To prepare for the exhibit, the Museum is seeking the location of some of the artwork by the famous equestrian painter.
