Edited from Keeneland track notes

Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) hopeful Sky Mesa worked five furlongs in :59 4/5 at Keeneland Monday morning for trainer John T. Ward, Jr. Easy winner of the Lane's End Breeders' Futurity in his last start, the son of Pulpit went a leisurely first quarter in :24 4/5, picked it up a tad around the turn, running three-eighths in :36 2/5, finishing the last quarter in :23 2/5, while galloping out six furlongs in 1:13 and seven panels in 1:28.

"We were totally pleased with the work," said Ward. "He left here (Keeneland) at five o'clock this morning (Wednesday) and should be in Chicago by two."

Neil Drysdale worked Gainsborough Farm's Touch of the Blues (Fr) on the Keeneland turf course on Monday as promised. Second to Landseer (GB) in the Shadwell Keeneland Turf Mile, the son of Cadeaux Genereux (GB) worked a "best of the morning" :49 1/5, breezing, around the dogs, on a grass course labeled good.

"He just cruised around there," Drysdale said. "At the present time we are planning to send him to the Breeders' Cup."

Arthur B. Hancock, III's WinStar Galaxy winner Owsley breezed a half-mile at Belmont Park on Tuesday, preparing for the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (gr. IT). The four-year-old daughter of Harlan was clocked in :50 2/5.
