In other Breeders' Cup developments: * Mel Stute said Buffythecenterfold is definite for the Juvenile Fillies. "We put up our $10,000," Stute said. "I don't know how many pre-entered. We put up the $10,000, and if the race overfills and they don't use you, you get your money back. It's always been that way. But then it costs you another $10,000 to run." Stute plans to ship next Tuesday. * Bob Baffert said he was "well satisfied" with Vindication's Monday afternoon drill in company with Sugar Babe. "Sugar Babe is a pretty good teammate for him, and he needed a hard workout," Baffert said. Vindication is undefeated in three starts and one of the favorites for the Juvenile (gr. I). "Sugar Babe is one of my best 3-year-olds," Baffert said. "I hope to run him here next week." Vindication worked seven furlongs under jockey Mike Smith in 1:23 4/5.
* Smith has at least six Breeders' Cup commitments as of Wednesday: Came Home (Classic), Vindication (Juvenile); Azeri (Distaff); The Tin Man (Turf); Composure (Juvenile Fillies), and Kalookan Queen (Sprint).
