Richard Bomze has been re-elected president of the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association. Bomze, who was a board member for three years prior to his election as president, now is serving his third term on the board and his second as president.
The organization also announced that all four incumbents on the owner board who ran for office were re-elected. They are Thomas Boyan, Charles Reiss, Dan Schmidt, and Michael Shanley. The new owner board member elected was Robert Fox and the first alternate board member is Steven Zorn.
Three incumbent trainer members of the board were re-elected. They are David Donk, Pat Kelly, and Rick Violette. The newly elected board members are Gary Contessa and Linda Rice. The first alternate is Jim Ferraro.
The new board takes control Oct. 28.
